John F. Kennedy Highlights

On Wednesday, June 4th, JFK Elementary School hosted its annual Field Day, a tradition that brings students together for a day of outdoor activity, teamwork, and school spirit.

Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade participated in a variety of fun and engaging stations, including relay races, basketball, tug of war, water bucket challenges, and parachute games. Each child was assigned a team color, encouraging unity and friendly competition across grade levels.

The 5th grade musicians at JFK put on an exceptional 5th Grade Spring Concert on Thursday, May 15th. Led by Mr. Rosario Fuschetto, instrumental music teacher, and Mrs. Jessica Altieri, chorus and general music teacher, the students first performed for the 2nd and 3rd grade students during the school day, and again in the evening for their families and school community. The students demonstrated remarkable dedication and skill in their performances with the band, orchestra, and Morning Chorus, showcasing the product of their diligent practice. The grand finale, featuring the entire 5th grade chorus, was a powerful testament to their collective effort and talent. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of these talented young musicians!

Last night’s Math Night was a huge success! Families came together for an evening filled with fun, learning, and hands-on exploration. Students participated in a variety of engaging math activities, using different math manipulatives to solve problems, play games, and discover new strategies. The event created a lively atmosphere where kids were excited to explore math in creative and interactive ways. It was a wonderful night of learning and laughter for all who attended!

Our Pre-K students had a blast at this year’s Field Day! The rain didn't stop the fun, spirits were high as little feet raced through a colorful obstacle course, cheered each other on during relay races, and giggled with joy using the giant parachute. It was an event full of laughter, teamwork, and excitement. A truly unforgettable celebration of play and movement for our youngest learners!

We were all in it together! 
JFK’s talented 4th and 5th grade students lit up the stage with their incredible performance of Disney’s High School Musical Jr. Their catchy tunes, fantastic choreography, and boundless school spirit wowed the crowd—but it was their dedication and hard work behind the scenes that truly made the show a success.

From rehearsals to dress rehearsals, every student brought their best, and it showed in every moment on stage.
