Befores
The Physical Education Department offers a Morning Intramural P.E. Program for students in Grades 3-5 at JFK. The program is designed to engage students in fun physical activities while also teaching them important healthy habits, fitness concepts, interpersonal skills, and daily wellness practices.
Permission Slips are emailed home via Google Forms at the beginning of the school year. The program will be held from 8:00am-9:00am and will follow the schedule below:
Grade 5 --------- Monday
Grade 4 ----------Tuesday
Grade 3 ----------Wednesday

Math Olympiad
Math Olympiad is a non-tuition enrichment program.
Math Olympiad is a mathematical competition for students in grades 4-8, with an emphasis on developing children’s higher level mathematical reasoning and providing children with the opportunity to develop advanced problem-solving skil
The goals of Math Olympiad are:
- To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for mathematics
- To introduce important mathematical concepts
- To teach major strategies for problem solving
- To develop mathematical flexibility in solving problems
- To strengthen mathematical intuition
- To foster mathematical creativity and ingenuity
- To provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges

Morning Enrichment
GNPS Enrichment Programs are for children in grades 2-5.
The Enrichment Program, taught by John F. Kennedy teachers, provides additional opportunities for students to learn in an enjoyable environment while helping them enrich their educational experience. AM courses are offered one hour prior to the start of school. The Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions run for ten weeks each.
Robotics
Robotics is a non-tuition enrichment module offered to grade 5.
LEGO ROBOTICS incorporates all aspects of the STEM Standards (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Students will work in cooperative groups to build and program robots for special functions.
This unit encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving skills and requires a strong commitment of time and effort. Please take your child’s interests and strengths into consideration.
ALL FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LEGO ROBOTICS PROGRAM. THIS SESSION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAYS AND WILL BEGIN AT 8:10 am. ROBOTICS WILL BEGIN IN THE FALL.
Community Service Helpers
The John F. Kennedy Community Service Helpers is a group of student leaders from 5th Grade who collaborate with Administration and staff and one another to enhance the John F. Kennedy School’s relationship with our local community and support the JFK school-wide goals. All representatives are chosen through a fair and sensitive process and possess the following qualities:
